i believe the “calart style” everyone talks about develops because calart really pushes for minimalist and simplistic design since its much easier to animate but i think they push that…. waaay too much imo. you can still have a complex style and design simplistic characters if youre looking to animate them. when you push the idea that “simple” is the ONLY way animators should draw it makes every fucking person who goes to calarts look like they all have the exact same style
it also looks like shit too
Welcome to Night Vale is like those tumblr posts where there’s a picture of something horrible and everyone is commenting on the mundane details. Like the one of Barbie with a bathtub full of Barbie parts and everyone complains she left blood on the floor and didn’t wash her hands.
That is Nightvale.
That’s the whole show.
i remember way too many small details about people so i have to act dumb sometimes so i don’t freak them out
I’m such a nostalgic person I remember so many details about important events and I miss them all
i fully recognize that High Fashion has Many Problems and is generally Rich People Bullshit but also like… forever 21 isnt catering to my desire to look like an extra from an 80s cyberpunk movie u know
other great Looks currently not being catered to by Fast Fashion:
- emissary from a planet of genderless librarians
- ascetic cult initiate
- an alternate universe dune remake where the bene gesserit are all lesbians
- athena, but goth
- joan of arc
it genuinely baffles me when people say 80s fashion was ugly as if early 00s fashion wasn’t the greatest crime against humanity committed on historical record
Find someone who pays attention. Who runs their fingers over your every scar; and asks where each one came from. Find someone who knows how you like your coffee; what song makes you want to roll the windows down and slam on the gas pedal. Find someone who takes in your smallest details; who notices the things you thought no one ever would.
And then…when you find them…
Be their someone, too.
I’m n e v e r gonna finish thiiisssssss…
o(╥﹏╥)o I miss photoshop;;; this was all done with a mouse on a single layer on MS paint.
wow!! this is so amazing the details are beautiful
